“Unusual” heatwaves simultaneously scorch parts of the globe

JUL 12, 2023: The UN has declared the first week of July as the hottest ever recorded. It comes as heatwaves and droughts scorch parts of the world, including in China, the US and Spain. Scientists are warning these weather events and their harmful impacts are only going to get more extreme. Mietta Adams reports.
